The Tony Robbins 4 Step Success Formula

The Tony Robbins 4 Step Success Formula

4 Step Success Formula

I am a huge fan of Tony Robbins. His audio programs and books are packed with life-changing advice. In my opinion, he is one of the greatest leaders, speakers, mentors, and entrepreneurs of our time.

I’m going to share one of the formulas I picked up from studying Tony’s material. He calls it the 4 Step Success Formula. Essentially they are the steps that we must go through as we strive to succeed in any endeavor or achieve any specific goal:

1. Know Your Outcome

Before you invest time, effort and energy into something, you should identify what it is you intend to get out of the experience. Define precisely what you want before you get started. You wouldn’t start building a house without first deciding what the end result is going to look like, so why not apply the same logic to everything else in your life? Begin with the end in mind, or don’t begin at all.

2. Take Action

Once you’ve defined precisely what you want, it’s time to take action. Sitting around and hoping and praying for things to happen is a terrible strategy. You need to get up and get started. You need to take action. But more importantly, you need to take the types of action that have the greatest probability of producing the results you desire.

3. Recognize the Responses/Results You’re Getting

As you take action you will produce results. Those results serve as valuable feedback. If you analyze the feedback, you can evaluate what changes or adjustments need to be made to improve the results. Are the results bringing you closer to your goals? Are they steering you further away? Take note of what results are being produced, and learn from every experience.

4. Be Flexible

Lastly, remember that although you shouldn’t change your desired outcome, you may have to change or adjust your approach. You should develop the flexibility to change your behavior until you get what you want. Not getting what you want is simply feedback. Don’t take it personally. If something isn’t working don’t keep doing the same thing over and over again and expect a different result. Keep adapting, keep adjusting, and keep changing until you find what works.

Final thought

What I like most about the Tony Robbins 4 Step Success Formula is that it is entirely universal. It can be applied to any situation. Whether in your business, in your relationships, or even your health, this formula make sense. Decide what you want, take action, evaluate the results that are produced, be flexible when necessary, and you will inevitably succeed.
